Colleges & Universities That Offer Scholarships to International Students: Massachusetts

Finding the money to attend college or university can be quite a struggle, especially for international students. That’s why it is by far one of the most popular questions on StudyUSA.com: where can I find scholarships for international students? We will be answering that popular question every week by posting schools that offer scholarships to international students.

Wentworth Institute of Technology

Wentworth Institute of Technology offers international students scholarships. Students are automatically considered for Merit Awards and no additional application is needed. Evaluation is determined by the Admissions Office and begins in mid-January.  Merit Scholarships range from $1,000-$13,000 based on the entering class of Fall 2016. In addition, the Wentworth Community Scholarship is available to returning students who display commitment to the school community through participation in various activities. The award is $2,500 a year. Student must have completed four semesters and be enrolled full-time while maintaining a cumulative GPA 3.0 or better. Bunker Hill Community College

Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) offers a variety of scholarships to international students. Scholarships vary depending on the student’s field of study. In order to be eligible, students must be enrolled full time at Bunker Hill at the time of application (unless otherwise stated in the scholarship eligibility criteria), have no In-Progress (IP) grades at the time of the scholarship application deadline, and have earned the minimum number of credits and/or cumulative GPA specific for each scholarship. Clark University IDCE

Clark University’s Department of International Development, Community, and Environment provides undergraduate and graduate international students with merit scholarships and need-based grants. First year undergraduate international students can apply for five different merit based scholarships, if eligible. They range in awards from $5,000-$20,000 a year. Transfer international students are also eligible for two of the five scholarships. In addition, students have access to a database to search for private scholarships. Simmons College

Simmons College provides scholarships and other financial resources to international students. They offer a limited number of merit scholarships. International first-year students are eligible for merit scholarships ranging from $6,000 to $21,000 and international transfer students are eligible for merit scholarships for up to $6,000. International students who are exceptionally active in their communities may be eligible to receive the $21,000 Presidential scholarship. Clark University Graduate School of Management

Clark University Graduate School of Management offers a limited merit-based scholarships, fellowships, and assistantships to international graduate students. Merit scholarships are usually awarded at the time of admissions. Awards vary greatly depending on the program in which you enroll.
