By Brianna Burrows

Taking a vacation to the United States is an endless adventure! There is so much to see and do, but why not take advantage of your time in the USA to improve your English? Intensive English Programs (IEP) are short term programs to help you learn or improve your English. IEP’s are offered all across the country, but if you’re visiting friends or family in Texas, here are some great programs to consider while you’re on vacation:

Rice University

For international students on vacation in or near Houston, Rice University offers students the opportunity to learn English for seven weeks. The seven week session is offered six times throughout the year, beginning in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Classes meet four hours daily, five days week, leaving you plenty of time to explore the city of Houston and other sights.

Study Dallas Fort Worth

Study Dallas Fort Worth is a group of intensive English language programs owned by reputable universities located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. These include Texas Christian University, University of North Texas (Denton), University of Texas at Arlington, Southern Methodist University (Dallas), and Dallas Baptist University (Irving). Each of these programs offer a variety of intensive English language courses.
