A Night To Remember: The Multicultural Dinner at Lycoming College

The Multicultural Awareness Group (MAG) at Lycoming College hosted its annual dinner for the campus community this past March. The much-anticipated event was planned and executed completely by students for a group of 200 guests, and it’s a night that will live on in the memories of everyone who was in attendance.

What is a Multicultural Awareness Group?

The Multicultural Awareness Group is a student club that celebrates cultural differences in the Lycoming College community. The club helps students on campus be aware of different cultures, not just from the United States, but also from nations across the globe. MAG at Lycoming College is made up of international students from around the world. Our members join us from countries such as Germany, France, China, and Vietnam.

Being part of a student club of like-minded students from across the globe promotes a stronger global understanding, and builds connections that last a lifetime.

A Night to Remember

The evening featured a delicious dinner of international dishes suggested by the students and entertainment, which included dances, songs, a poetry reading, and a showcase of international attire modeled by students. The vibrant energy of the evening was enjoyed and appreciated by organizers, participants, and attendees alike.

The event was a resounding success, and the college looks forward to hosting many more events where the different cultures of its students can be shared and celebrated!
