UCLA Extension

A division of UCLA, UCLA Extension is the largest single-campus continuing education program in the world. UCLA Extension certificate programs provide students with the knowledge and skills they need in their careers and personal lives. Over 50 certificate programs are approved for international students (F-1 visa.)

The UCLA Extension American Language Center

The UCLA American Language Center (ALC), a department within UCLA Extension, offers Intensive English Language programs and a Pre-Master’s Preparation program. ALC instructors are well-trained and experienced; using the most up-to-date teaching methods, they create a relaxed and friendly learning atmosphere. Students learn not only to communicate in English but also gain knowledge about American life and culture.
