Fall Shenanigans at Green River College

Exploring Autumn Adventures and Fun-filled Escapades on the Green River College Campus

As the leaves changed hues and the crisp autumn air settled over Green River College, the fall 2023 quarter unfolded with an array of exciting events that brought students together in a spirit of camaraderie and celebration. Starting with a hike on Mount Rainier and ending with a festive movie night, the quarter was bustling.

Singing it out

Karaoke enthusiasts found their haven during the lively Karaoke Night, where voices echoed through the campus, creating a harmonious blend of melodies. It was a night where talents shone, and friendships were forged amidst the lyrics of favorite songs.

Haunted Halloween

The spookiness of Halloween was embraced wholeheartedly as the Asian Student Union organized a Haunted House that sent shivers down the spine. The Halloween Party in the Student Union building was a riot, with students donning creative costumes and reviling in the spirit of the season.

American football

The energy soared as students embarked on a thrilling trip to Huskies Stadium, eagerly anticipating the clash between the University of Washington and the Utah Utes. The energy among fans, the roar of the crowd, and the shared excitement painted a vivid picture of the college’s vibrant sports culture.

Tournament of champions

For those with a passion for sports, the volleyball tournament with the Sports and Culture Club proved to be a highlight. Teams competed fiercely, showcasing the college’s spirit for friendly competition and good-natured sportsmanship.

Movie night & more

Movie enthusiasts gathered for a cinematic experience on multiple occasions to first watch the sci-fi movie Interstellar. With American Experience Club, students then enjoyed the seasonally festive Home Alone 2 amongst friends with bags of popcorn and cups of hot chocolate.

Throughout the quarter, students enjoyed various activities, from movie nights and singing sessions to FIFA and badminton competitions. These events not only provided entertainment but also fostered a sense of community among the diverse student body.

Friends-giving

The aroma of a Friends-giving Autumn Feast filled the air, bringing students together for a festive meal that mirrored the warmth and unity of the season. The event served as a reminder that, despite diverse backgrounds, everyone at Green River College comes together as one family.

As the fall quarter unfolded, it’s clear that Green River College isn’t just a place of education; it’s a vibrant community that thrives on the connections forged through shared experiences.
