Diving into a new semester

Compared to the last semester, this spring holds a bunch of challenges and opportunities. Balancing five classes while committing to work has become the norm. Each day is filled with two or three classes, mixed with productive work periods. The schedule may seem intimidating, yet it defines purpose and accomplishment. During my busy schedule, one thing that's been missing is making time for workouts. So, I try to squeeze in visits to the campus Fitness Center between classes in my busy schedule to maintain a healthy lifestyle and enhance my overall quality of life.

Obento & Tamagoyaki

Craving food from home

A passion for cooking has blossomed since I came to the U.S.. Making and enjoying Japanese cuisine has become a present pastime, with dishes like Japanese curry and rice, hamburger steaks, and Tamagoyaki (egg rolls). Preparing Obento (lunch box) has become a daily routine, building a deeper connection with food and nutrition. Taking care of my body and health involves more than just eating for sustenance; it's also about being mindful of what I eat and how it affects my overall well-being.

Unveiling Nevada

In the middle of Nevada lie many beautiful places to see and enjoy. One of the best is Lake Tahoe, a stunning spot with many things to do. A mere 1 hour and 30 minutes away by car, this destination offers a myriad of experiences. This time, I went to the northeast shores and found Hidden Beach, a serene spot where emerald green waters meet the blue sky. Whether swimming or simply chilling in nature, Lake Tahoe promises unforgettable moments of peace and wonder and I appreciate every opportunity I have to escape there.

Thrilling in Reno

One of my favorite places to relieve stress is BaseCamp Climbing Gym. There are many sections for challengers to enjoy, from beginner to advanced. I've been there several times, yet I still consider myself a beginner and have never reached the top. Starting off with excitement, BaseCamp offers fun like nothing else. Afterward, I refuel with some calories at In-n-Out. That's my kind of routine ;)

As the spring semester progresses, Reno, Nevada, becomes a lively mix of studying, delicious food, and thrilling experiences. Balancing the challenges of school with moments of happiness and exploration makes life in Reno the best of self-discovery and opportunities. Stay tuned for the next blog update.
