Choosing the Right Path: My Experience with American English College

From Turkey to LA: A Civil Engineer's Leap into English Mastery

Hello, dear readers!

I am Sara Çakırgöz, studying English at American English College (AEC). I'm currently at level 5. I live with my brother in Los Angeles/Whittier.

My background

I was born and raised in Turkey and completed my undergraduate education there. After receiving my bachelor's degree in civil engineering, I did an internship in a building construction site for 6 months. I came to America with an F1 student visa to pursue a master's degree.7

Choosing a language school

In order to get a master's degree in America, you need to pass certain language exams. In this process, it is very important which language school you choose because you suddenly enter a completely different world and it is impossible not to be stunned.

AEC is right for me

After meeting AEC, the process started to become more comfortable for me. And now they invited me to be their student blogger and I feel really lucky to get this opportunity. I have been writing since my childhood, and now I will do it in a foreign language. My language learning adventure is much more fun now.

It has been a year since I came to America, and I have accumulated many memories and experiences as a student. And I want to share them all with you over time.

Thank you for reading my first article.
