Edmonds Community College is a state college with a beautiful park-like campus. We offer two-year university transfer degrees, English as a Second Language (ESL), professional degrees and certificates; as well as High School to University. Located 20 minutes north of Seattle in a safe residential neighborhood, the campus combines excellent coursework, award-winning faculty, and superior services to help students with all their needs while living in the United States.

Upon completion of a degree from Edmonds Community College, you can easily transfer to universities within the state of Washington and throughout the United States, including the University of Washington, Seattle University, state universities in California, New York and any state you choose. Students can even earn a four year degree right on campus at Central Washington University.

Admission is simple! NO TOEFL REQUIRED

TOEFL is not required for admission. Instead, students complete the college's English assessment upon arrival and are placed into classes based on the results. We offer you the opportunity to choose your enrollment (four times a year): September, January, April and July. You must be 16 years of age or have earned a high school diploma.

University Transfer Degrees - save at least 30% by studying university curriculum at Edmonds Community College

Students have small classes with extra help from their teachers when taking our university transfer degree programs. Our associate two-year degree transfers as the first two years of a Bachelor's degree. Students choose this "two plus two" program and save money while getting individual attention from teachers. Professional Degrees and Certificates - get real-world training in a short time

Edmonds Community College provides real-world training with career programs. Programs are designed to prepare students for specific jobs or to improve existing skills. Students may pursue a two-year degree program or a certificate of study, taking six to nine months. Upon completion of these programs, eligible students qualify for employment in the United States.

High School to University - earn university credit while you complete high school

If you want to earn your high school diploma and take college classes at the same time-this is your program. Students 16 years and older may enter this customized program. Students get a high school diploma and can potentially earn a year of college credit that transfers to a four-year university. Many credits earned in your own country will apply to this program.

English as a Second Language - take ESL and college at the same time

The Intensive English-as-a-Second-Language Program provides five levels of study, from beginning to advanced, with reading, writing, speaking/listening and grammar at each level providing 20 hours of study per week. Enrollment is open until the fourth week (of the ten week quarter). Students choose academic, business or culture emphasis. TOEFL preparation, internship/community service, and specialized ESL classes are also available.

At ESL level 5, through our English for Academic Purposes program, students may also take college classes at the same time without taking TOEFL.

Dormitory - on campus living

Experience living with a community of students in Rainier Place. Our dormitory is right on campus, just 3 minutes from class, and has 37 four-bedroom units, nine two-bedroom units, nine studio units (five with double occupancy option), common space on each floor, community room on first floor, resident assistants for support, internet access, phone access, pool table, DVD, large screen TV.

Scholarships for international students

Edmonds Community College recognizes the financial commitment that international students have when studying in the United States. We want to help you. Edmonds Community College now offers scholarships to new international students as well as to currently enrolled students. These scholarships are available every quarter.
