Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is located in Chicago, the third largest city in the US, which is located on beautiful Lake Michigan. NEIU’s Intensive English Language Program, called SAELL, holistically develops the English proficiency of students whose first language is other than English.  SAELL runs a part-time online program and a full-time in-person program. Both are based on the Common European Framework Reference for Language (CEFR) and are open to undergraduates and graduate students. The TOEFL exam is administered in the course at no extra fee.
