Portland Community College is the largest institution of higher education in Oregon and one of the top 20 community colleges in the country. It is a multi-campus, two-year college serving over 400 international students from more than 60 countries worldwide. PCC offers over 85 academic programs with options including an ESL Program, two-year degrees and 2+2 university transfer programs. There are many opportunities for student activities, clubs, on-campus jobs, sports, and transfer to top universities.

At PCC, you can earn an Associate of Arts (AA) Degree or an Associate of Science (AS) Degree, and then transfer to a four-year institution to complete your Bachelor’s degree. Or, you can study in one of our 2-year programs.

Location:

Portland, Oregon is one of the friendliest, most livable cities in the United States! It is a vibrant city with a small town feel. PCC has 4 campuses located throughout the city of Portland, close to both the mountains and the coast, as well as world-class restaurants, coffee shops, and microbreweries. PCC is close to the beach, lakes, and rivers as well as snow mountains like Mount Hood which makes it a great place for outdoor activities. All these, together with the growing tech industry makes Portland a highly desirable city to live, study and work.

ESL Program:

PCC offers credit ESL courses on all four of its campuses. The ESOL program has eight levels of English language instruction, from level one, for beginners, through level 8, for students who are preparing to enroll in college-level coursework.

English proficiency is NOT required for admission to PCC, but you may be exempted from the ESL placement testing if you are able to show proof of English proficiency (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo or other scores).

Study Options:

Pursue a degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, health sciences, or aviation, among others. At PCC, you’ll find a program that fits your passions, your time, and your budget. Or, you can get language or vocational training in a 2-year program.

University Transfer:

At PCC, you can earn a two-year Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) Degree, and then transfer to a four-year university to complete your Bachelor’s degree. After graduating from PCC, international students transfer to top-ranked universities across the USA. PCC course credits can also transfer to universities across the USA.
