Renait Stephens – CEO and Creative Director

In her 10 years at Study in the USA ®, Renait has gone from contract worker to CEO and Creative Director. Drawing on her graphic design experience, she is the creative director and content manager for the website and the magazines. As CEO, Renait oversees company marketing, partnerships and the budget.

Born in England, Renait first studied Economics at the University of London before then becoming an international student herself. She graduated with a degree in Anthropology and Visual Art from Evergreen College in Washington State.

As a former international student, two-passport holder and world traveler, Renait loves what Study in the USA ® facilitates: the sharing of cultures and the development of understanding and tolerance.


Peggy J. Printz - Past Publisher

Peggy founded Study in the USA® in the late 1970s, responding to Asian friends seeking advice about education in North America. The first and still the leading magazine given free to students around the world, Study in the USA ® quickly grew popular, with circulation over 200,000 copies a year. As soon as students began searching the internet, Peggy and staff launched www.StudyUSA.com, which spawned companion sites for boarding schools and community colleges.

Study in the USA® magazines and websites have helped millions of students find programs in the U.S.A.

Peggy holds a bachelor's degree in art history from Smith College and earned a master's degree in journalism and a certificate in business journalism from Columbia University. Having studied and lived in Europe and Asia, she enjoys helping Americans communicate with international families.


Eve Florin - Associate Publisher

A love for higher education and a background in graphic design prepared Eve to work with you to create visibility that is engaging and effective. She's familiar with the international young adult market we are cultivating, having overseen the design of advertisements, apparel and print collateral for this age group.

Eve's education includes degrees with honors from Pomona College and Seattle Central Community College, along with a year at Dartmouth College. She specialized in Media Studies and Graphic Design. She's passionate about education, so she’s ready for anything that Study in the USA ® will undertake.

Eve enjoys hiking, running, traveling, playing cards and reading the dictionary. Ask Eve how she earned her membership in the Polar Bear Society.


Trish Bruno - Director of Publications/Online

Her background at the Los Angeles Times prepared Trish for her career in international web and magazine publishing. Trish takes pleasure in helping schools throughout the United States build and diversify their programs through Study in the USA ®.

From the San Francisco Bay Area, she received her degree from the University of San Diego. After graduating, Trish spent several years in Southern California working at the Los Angeles Times, and more specifically with the Los Angeles Times Magazine.  

In addition to loving her job, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, playing tennis and taking advantage of all that the beautiful Pacific Northwest has to offer.


Jennifer Privette – Editor & Assistant Publisher

Wondering what international students are talking about? What about the current trends in international education? Ask Jennifer Privette, who manages the Study Life USA blog and is a news editor for StudyUSA.com. Jennifer shares tips, information, and news for international students with one common goal: U.S. education. She also writes and edits editorial content for the Study in the USA ® magazines.

Jennifer received her bachelor's degree in Journalism from Seattle University. She has written for Investigate West and interned for PBS's NewsHour. Her experience and love of the written word has happily brought her to Study in the USA ®. When she's not pounding the keyboard, she's cooking and traveling the globe.


Sutton Long – Art Director

As the art director, Sutton’s beautiful work is shown throughout editions of Study in the USA ®. Each year, her designs breathe new life into the magazines, always keeping them fresh and fun.

Her background as a magazine editor led her to the design side of magazine creation, which brought her to Study in the USA in 2002 on the Graphic Design team. She has also worked as art director for Sea Kayaker magazine and is currently the art director for VegNews, which has won multiple design awards.

Sutton loves working with the talented Study in the USA ® team to promote education in the U.S.A.


Sandy Spear – Graphic Designer and Arabic Layout Specialist

Sandy utilizes her linguistic and technical skills for the delicate job of combining English with Middle Eastern languages that read from right to left. In addition to designing original ads, she produces all of the Arabic editorial advertisements, as well as articles for the Middle Eastern edition.

Sandy is also an avid maker of glass beads and participates in many local art fairs. Her glass bead jewelry can be found at galleries and boutiques in the area. 


Allan Yuuki Leal - Graphic Designer and Japanese Media Specialist

If you want to explore the intersection of Japanese and American cultures, you can start with Allan. Born in Tokyo, he develops the Japanese-language website and magazine for Study in the USA ®, constantly monitoring language or layout nuances that need to cross the cultural divide.

As a graphic designer, his strong focus on information architecture, multi-lingual web applications, interface design, and user experience make him an exceptional designer.

Allan studied at Sophia University in Japan and graduated from Seattle University with a degree in International Business and a minor in Japanese. He has taught English to Japanese students in the U.S. and Japan.

In his free time, he explores new design ideas and working on art projects in his silk-screen print studio.


Irene Gazali – Graphic Designer and Indonesian Media Specialist

For many years, Irene was the smiling face that greeted Indonesian students at the Study in the USA ® booth at major fairs throughout her home country of Indonesia. She has continued to reach Indonesian students as the Indonesian translator and media specialist.

Now in the U.S., Irene brings her sharp eye for design and color to the Graphic Design team. As part of the team, she designs print and web advertisements, media, the look of StudyUSA.com and marketing materials.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Art Institute of Seattle and has a passion for interior design. She loves to travel in her spare time and like many international students, misses the food from her home country terribly.


Jane Stagg – Production Manager

Jane manages the array of moving elements involved in the production of both the Study in the USA ® publications and StudyUSA.com. As Production Manager, she streamlines the production of advertisements and articles for the print publications and website.

A native of the United Kingdom, Jane moved to the U.S. in her teens. Before making the U.S. her permanent home she traveled around the world, visiting exotic places like Egypt, India, Thailand and Indonesia.

She greatly enjoys the challenge of the ever-changing responsibilities the Production Manager position affords.


Wesley Costa - Circulation and Translation Coordinator

Originally from Brazil, Wesley has a long history of loving languages. He owned and managed an intensive English language school in central Brazil, where he helped Brazilians learn English and Americans learn Portuguese. 
 Utilizing his experience teaching English in both the U.S. and Brazil, Wesley supervises the translation of content for the magazines and website. He is also the Brazilian-Portuguese translator.

As Circulation Coordinator for Study in the USA ®magazines, Wesley maintains a mailing list of thousands of locations around the world. He's responsible for shipping hundreds of thousands of magazines to all these destinations and making sure they arrive safely.

He continues to enthusiastically share information with students as the Study in the USA ® representative at major fairs throughout Brazil.


Judd Bundy – Lead Programmer

As the lead programmer, Judd develops the sophisticated tools and features of StudyUSA.com. He is committed to giving prospective students the tools so they can better their lives through education.

He has worked on the 787 program for Labinal, a subcontractor of Boeing. Judd has also been a part of exciting development projects in both the United States and Europe. He holds a Computer Science degree from the Niels Brock Business College in Copenhagen, Denmark. 

A Seattle native, Judd spends his spare time with his wife and two children, playing music or exploring the great outdoors of the Pacific Northwest.
